Job Summary:

The Senior Director of Finance will oversee Business Finance (Budgeting, Forecasting & Financial KPIs) and Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) to include long-term financial planning/forecasting and stategic analysis and modeling functions for the organization. This role requires a highly skilled individual who can drive financial strategies, provide actionable insights, and ensure financial stability through effective financial forecasting, modeling and reporting.

At Omaha Steaks, Senior Director-level roles require a proven track record of success in previous leadership roles, with demonstrated ability to drive complex, enterprise-level initiatives to completion. To be successful in this role, you must possess strong influencing and relationship-building skills across all levels of the organization, coupled with executive presence and high emotional intelligence. You must be a strategic thinker with a strong bias for action, unafraid to challenge the status quo, and operate with a high degree of accountability and ownership.

You must provide strategic, principled leadership that aligns with the organizationโ€™s vision and goals while ensuring strong financial oversight and accountability. Drive organization-wide execution of cross-functional initiatives, ensuring clear direction, accountability, and measurable outcomes. Actively shape and influence the Horizontal Directors Leadership Team through collaborative decision-making and thought leadership.   • Leads the development and enhancement of complex financial models to provide insightful financial information that supports internal customers' decision-making processes (e.g., pricing, investment decisions, cost management).
  • Performs scenario analysis to evaluate financial outcomes under various assumptions, ensuring that business leaders can make informed decisions under different market conditions.
  • Presents financial reports, variance analyses, and trend insights for executive leadership. Oversees the review of variance trend analysis to recommend corrective actions or adjustments where necessary.
  • Drives long-term financial planning processes, including forecasting, scenario modeling, and strategic budgeting. Provides financial insights and recommendations that support strategic initiatives, such as business expansions, mergers, acquisitions, and new product launches.
  • Leads the financial evaluation of potential investments, product launches, business expansions, and other strategic opportunities. Ensures that financial models accurately reflect the risks and returns of proposed initiatives to facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Leads and develops a high-performing Finance team, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment. Mentors and coaches team members/direct reports, enhancing their skills in financial reporting, analysis, and modeling.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • 4- year college degree or equivalent
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in Finance, Accounting
  • Experience managing the financial impact of strategic initiatives, optimizing spend while driving revenue growth.
  • Excellent ability to communicate and influence effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience in Budgeting, Forecasting and Financial Modeling within a manufacturing or retail environment, ideally with a holistic approach to financial planning.
  • Proven track record of team building and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Experience with professionalizing Finance functions in a business that has received external investment.
  • Expertise in building financial models that provide data-driven insights to improve decision-making.
  • Demonstrated business, financial and technological acumen.
