Job description

Requirements
Essential Job Responsibilities
  • Will be responsible for engineering, architecting, and deployment of Cloud-based applications and infrastructure.
  • Will develop strategic and implementation plans for information systems.
  • Will develop the infrastructure as code required to generate cloud security infrastructure and security enclaves.
  • Must be able to work in a high pressure, highly flexible environment against both short and long-term requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Security Clearance - A current Secret level U.S. Government Security Clearance is required; U.S. Citizenship required.
  • 9+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering including operations, management, design, and development of cloud-based applications and capabilities with a Bachelors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.
  • 3+ years experience with Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, etc.)
  • Must have experience writing in Python and working on the Linux Command Line.
  • Must have experience automating cloud configuration using tooling such as Terraform, AWS Config, Ansible, etc.
  • Work autonomously actively identifying areas for improvement.
  • Able to collaborate with existing platform architects on long term and strategic architectural changes to the platform.
  • Strong understanding of cloud networking best practices
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Must be able to work in a hybrid environment, spending an average of 3-4 days per week at our Fort Meade, MD customer site or our local Columbia, MD office. However, flexibility is essential to accommodate any changes in the schedule.
