The General Manager curates a great selection, manages the budget, drives sales, and fosters a culture for all beverage specialists of passion and knowledge with unparalleled hospitality and service. They supervise the staff, product inventory, and the maintenance of the shop. The role manages all operational processes at the business including management of financial logbooks, ordering/receiving, inventory, invoices, scheduling, training plans, and employee files.
The H&F Bottle Shop General Manager is an essential part of the team, working to further our mission and vision of being recognized as a best-in-class workplace - one that creates a healthy professional working environment that strives to improve the reputation of the hospitality guild.
Responsibilities will include:
- Oversees the business side of operations, overseeing inventory management, receiving, ordering, budgeting, and financial performance to drive profitability and sustainable growth.
- Manages and reports on day-to-day operations while keeping Lightspeed up to date.
- Drives sales to meet forecast and budget goals.
- Nurturing a team of spirited individuals, inspiring their growth, and fostering a deep knowledge and enthusiasm for the products we offer.
-Supervises and upkeeps administrative duties for all employees including time-off requests, reviews, and training plans.
-Professionally communicates effectively with our guests and staff in both verbal and written format.
-Manages repairs and maintenance to ensure that the bottle is a safe and aesthetically pleasing shop and workplace for all guests and staff.
-Assist with emails, product photography, and website maintenance.
Education/Experience:
  • 4+ Years Experience in Hospitality with Beverage Program Management
  • COG and Labor Control Supervision and Inventory Management experience.
  • Ability to maintain high energy levels with poise and warmth during both high volume and fast-paced shifts.
  • Strong leadership skills, with demonstrated ability to build professional relationships and manage staff.
  • Excellent guest service and hospitality skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook 365 and Excel. Experience in Lightspeed Retail preferred.
  • Preferred: Graduate of: Court of Master Sommeliers, Level 1 or higher, Society of Wine Educators, CSW or higher, Sommelier Society of America Diploma, and/or a Wine and Spirits Education Trust Diploma
