Your Responsibilities

• Performing detailed patient evaluations, requesting necessary tests, and developing personalized care strategies
• Assessing and managing both acute and chronic health conditions, working independently or in concert with physicians as needed
• Guiding patients and families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and wellness practices
• Prescribing appropriate medications and treatments according to your scope of practice
• Engaging in patient follow-ups and chronic disease management

• Accurately documenting patient information in electronic medical records (EMR)

Educational Background

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Licenses and Certifications Required

• Current Nurse Practitioner license in Virginia
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or similar specialty
• Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) or willingness to attain within 90 days
