Job description

We are seeking a results-driven Master Planner and Scheduler to lead production planning and scheduling activities in a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for translating forecasts, demand, and operational priorities into executable production plans that support on-time delivery, inventory optimization, and efficient use of capacity and materials. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, ERP/MRP experience, and the ability to collaborate across operations, engineering, sales, and supply chain functions.


Key Responsibilities


• Develop, maintain, and adjust production schedules to align customer demand, material availability, and manufacturing capacity.
• Optimize material flow and delivery through effective use of forecasting, planning tools, and ERP/MRP systems.
• Analyze capacity constraints, inventory levels, and schedule risks to support timely and efficient production execution.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to support engineering changes, reduce shortages and obsolescence, and improve schedule performance.
• Support Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning activities through data updates, planning inputs, and cross-functional coordination.
• Track and report key performance indicators such as on-time delivery, inventory performance, productivity, and schedule adherence.
• Use data analysis and scenario planning to identify trends, anticipate disruptions, and recommend process improvements.
• Maintain accurate planning data and documentation while communicating schedule status, risks, and mitigation plans to stakeholders.


Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Logistics, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, materials management, or a related manufacturing role.
• Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems; Epicor experience preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organization, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel.
• Preferred: APICS/ASCM certification such as CPIM or CSCP.
• Preferred: Additional experience in manufacturing process improvement, capacity planning, and inventory performance management.


Work Environment and Travel
This position is primarily based in an office environment, with occasional time spent in industrial and manufacturing settings. Occasional travel may be required, up to 15%. This role reports to the Director, Planning SOP Alignment and does not include direct supervisory responsibility.
