Genscript is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Order Management Associate Scientist to join our dynamic US Protein Department in Piscataway, New Jersey.

The estimated salary range is $60,000 - $75,000, depending on experience.

Role Description:

This role focuses on both order design and order management for protein projects, including reviewing customer-provided sequences and placing internal orders to Molecular Biology, as well as ensuring smooth execution of protein projects within defined scope, timelines, and quality standards. The position works closely with Production, Project Management, and cross-functional teams to coordinate planning, track progress, and support efficient end-to-end project delivery in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  1. Fully understand customer project requirements
  2. Review order details carefully and place internal GENE orders to ensure accurate project initiation and setup.
  3. Develop and coordinate project plans within operational scope, ensuring alignment with production capacity and timelines.
  4. Monitor and track end-to-end project progress, ensuring milestones and delivery timelines are met.
  5. Provide regular project status updates and communicate progress clearly through email or meetings.
  6. Identify and analyze unexpected technical issues, provide scientific interpretation, and coordinate discussions to define resolution strategies.
  7. Collaborate closely with production, PM, and QC teams to ensure smooth execution and high customer satisfaction.
  8. Support continuous improvement of production workflows and platform capabilities, and complete additional assignments as required by the team lead.

Qualifications:

  1. Master's degree or above.
  2. Major in Biology or related life science disciplines.
  3. Background in the biological or biotechnology-related industry.
  4. Fluency in both Chinese and English is preferred.
  5. 1+ years of relevant working experience is preferred.
  6. Strong technical competency and communication skills.
  7. Basic knowledge of molecular biology and cell biology; experience in recombinant protein/antibody expression and purification is a plus.
