Job Summary
Big Sandy Community and Technical College invites qualified candidates to apply for the part-time position of Adjunct Instructor of Communications.
Part-time faculty may be needed to teach for selected day, evening, weekend and on-line classes at any of our campus locations.
Part-time instructors are paid $515.00 per credit hour.
Job Duties:
  • Plans and carries out instruction, instructional activities and prepares learning materials.
  • Provides instruction for students in subject area.
  • Prepares lesson plans and maintains records and reports on student attainment, attendance/activity and progress.
  • Utilizes approved online course template and syllabus format.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in Communications.
  • Credential must be granted from a regionally accredited institution of higher education.
  • A passion for teaching undergraduate students and an ability to work with a team effectively is essential to success in this position.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with on-line teaching is preferred.
  • Teaching with Blackboard experience is preferred.
