For five generations, Golf Pride® has been the global leader in golf grips. Throughout our history, Golf Pride® has believed in the importance of developing the best performing, most innovative grips for the world's best golfers and amateurs alike. As the only brand that touches every golfer, we are obsessed with the connectedness of the hands to the club, and this inspires every Golf Pride employee in everything we do. Now entering our 75th year, Golf Pride is returning to the category disruption roots that got us started as we enter our next growth phase. While we may be #1, you should expect to see many parallels to a brand reinventing itself as we drive the change management needed to secure our desired transformation.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $130000 - $190000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.
Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
What you'll do:
As Golf Pride's Global Commercial Planning Manager, you will own the end-to-end global demand planning process that fuels our commercial, supply, and financial plans. You will standardize and elevate forecasting excellence across regions and channels, ensure a single source of truth for demand in our business planning process, and drive the cadence that connects commercial strategy with supply execution.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
Lead Global Demand Planning: Build and govern a robust, standardized demand planning framework (calendar, roles, inputs/outputs, and RACI) across all regions, markets, and categories.
Manage and Develop a Global Team: Develop the team of direct reports managing global demand for our Retail Channel, OEM Channel, and Direct to Consumer Channel.
Run Data Gathering and Demand Planning in SIOP/IBP Cadence: Facilitate global demand reviews, pre SIOP, and executive SIOP/IBP, aligning volume, value, and margin to financial targets.
Forecast Excellence: Own statistical baseline generation (models, parameters, lags, seasonality) and consensus forecasting (sales, marketing, finance alignment).
Commercial Signal Integration: Incorporate demand trends from collaborating with sales channel leaders (customer signals) and product managers (consumer signals). Integrate POS, syndicated data, customer forecasts, promo calendars, pricing, media plans, and trade events into a structured signal hierarchy.
New Product & Lifecycle Management: Lead forecast methods for NPI launches, cannibalization, phase in/phase out, and EOL transitions.
Performance & Diagnostics: Establish KPIs (e.g., MAPE, bias, forecast value add, service levels) and run continuous improvement with root cause analysis.
Scenario & Risk Management: Run what ifs (e.g., supply constraints, price pack architecture shifts, elasticity impacts, promo lift assumptions) and provide recommendations to leadership.
Data, Systems & Governance: Drive master data quality and model governance; partner with IT/Analytics to optimize planning tools, data pipelines, and dashboards.
Collaboration: Partner closely with Sales, Finance, Supply Planning, Marketing, and Regional GMs to ensure demand plans are actionable and financially anchored.
Global Enablement: Train and coach regional planners; codify best practices, playbooks, and SOPs to scale planning maturity worldwide.
Who you are:
You are a systems minded, data driven planner who loves turning noisy commercial signals into clear, actionable demand plans. You're equally comfortable deep in the math and models as you are leading cross functional forums and making crisp recommendations to senior leaders.
You bring:
• A global mindset and the ability to harmonize planning across diverse regions, channels (retail, e commerce, distributor), and customer types.
• Structured thinking with a builder mentality-standardizing processes without losing necessary regional nuance.
• Analytical rigor with an instinct for simplifying complexity and explaining drivers, trade offs, and risks in business terms.
• Change leadership-you influence without authority, elevate planning discipline, and drive adoption of new tools and ways of working.
• Bias for action-you combine strong diagnostics with timely, pragmatic decisions that improve service, inventory, and P&L outcomes.
Qualifications:
Basic (Required) Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • 5+ years in demand planning, S&OP/IBP, or commercial planning experience
  • 3+ years of experience operating in a demand planning system, utilizing planning system to manage KPI's
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and within the future

Preferred:
  • Technical Planning Expertise:
o Advanced statistical forecasting (e.g., exponential smoothing, ARIMA/ARIMAX, causal models), parameter tuning, and model selection.
o Measurable improvement in MAPE, bias, and Forecast Value Add (FVA) across portfolios.
o Lifecycle/NPI forecasting, promo and event modeling, cannibalization, and price/pack architecture impacts.
  • Consumer goods/retail experience
  • Supervisory/Leadership experience
  • Tools & Data (hands on proficiency with at least one, exposure to several): Kinaxis RapidResponse, SAP IBP, o9, Anaplan, Blue Yonder/JDA, Logility, or equivalent; BI tools (Power BI, Tableau); strong Excel. Familiarity with POS/syndicated data (SPS, NielsenIQ, Circana/IRI), retailer portals, and customer forecasts.
  • Process Leadership: Facilitated S&OP/IBP cycles, led cross functional demand reviews, and aligned consensus forecasts with financial plans.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and translate analytics into clear business choices.
