POSITION OVERVIEW

Under the direction of the Scheduling Team Manager, the incumbent plans and schedules in process and finished goods materials. 

This position is responsible for maintaining appropriate inventory levels to meet service strategies and acts as a representative for the Materials Management team for other departments/functions within McCormick.  The Scheduler troubleshoots master data issues and works with Supply Planning to balance inventory with customer service and Plant cost.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Proactively identifies complex problems/trending issues and drive resolution through root cause analysis. 
  • Identify and present capacity resolutions/options to Supply Planning to balance service strategies, plant cost and inventory strategies. 
  • Work collaboratively with Supply Planning to re-evaluate customer forecasts and consumption/reduction issues that may impact customer service and inventory levels 
  • Works with Material Planning to coordinate material availability, maintain appropriate inventory levels to meet service objectives, while managing rework, safety stocks, inventory turns.
  • Involve and work collectively with Material Planning, QA, Operations, Warehousing, Customer Service and Supply Planning to provide updates related to production scheduling, stay informed of potential problems and identify solutions to resolve using root cause analysis or other problem-solving methods.
  • Plans and schedules in-process and finished goods on resources to meet demand, and shares accountability for Production Reliability of the production lines.
  • Attend daily Production Meetings and participate on project-based teams.
  • Troubleshoot master data issues within and between McCormick facilities, make data change recommendations and test data change scenarios in QC3. 
  • Represent the Materials Management function internally and inter-divisionally to include SAP upgrades and makes recommendations as appropriate.
  • Manage master data to support business practices.  Initiate and submit the following reports: MMDCRS, NPC, Cancel / Supersedes, and Change Notices, etc.  Run and interpret existing production reports in SAP/APO/BW. 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Business or other related field OR are actively in pursuit of degree within those fields
  • Experience with integrated MRP systems. 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Ability to prepare detailed reports and analyze data. 
  • Demonstrates professional communication skills written and verbal with all levels of employees both internally and externally.
  • Excellent organization skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a changing environment, and identify/resolve complex issues with little support or guidance
  • Experience working collaboratively in a team-based environment
  • Ability to exercise good judgment in high pressure, sensitive situations

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • SAP/APO experience or other inventory management systems experience
  • Experience within planning, scheduling, procurement, or other relevant supply chain roles
  • APICS certified

Base Salary: $53,990 - $94,480

Base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, experience for this role, and/or internal equity of our current employees as part of any final offer. This position is also eligible to participate in McCormick's Incentive Bonus (MIB) Plan.
