Job Summary:

As the Master Data Management Analyst, you will lead independent initiatives in data management and digital asset management, emphasizing strong analytical skills. You will diagnose and efficiently manage data and digital asset issues, implementing corrective measures to meet completeness and quality guidelines. This role supports multiple departments within the team, as well as our dealers, vendors, and external technical partners. A critical part of your work will be understanding the unique context and business processes of wholesale distribution and retail environments focused on home center, hardware, lumber yard, farm, and pet products. You will collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements for new processes and features, write test cases, and ensure seamless implementation and adoption. Additionally, you will train users and actively contribute to innovative solutions for user-documented issues and challenges.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Collect, aggregate, and validate product and digital asset data from various sources to ensure accuracy and timely loading into MDM (PIM) systems.

Utilize strong analytical skills to diagnose and efficiently manage data issues, independently implementing corrective actions to maintain data integrity.

Monitor and ensure correct enrichment of data in the PIM system; collaborate with internal and external partners to enhance data quality and completeness with an understanding of industry-specific product attributes relevant to home center, hardware, lumber, farm, and pet categories.

Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between cross-functional teams, including merchandising, supply chain, and e-commerce, to meet data collection, enrichment, and publication goals.

Liaise with dealers, buyers, vendors, e-commerce teams, and other stakeholders to identify, qualify, and manage data sources for product data and digital assets, ensuring alignment with wholesale distribution and retail business needs.

Create and maintain custom exports, imports, data publications, and manage integrations of MDM/PIM data with other enterprise systems such as ERP, e-commerce platforms, and downstream applications.

Diagnose and coordinate correction of data discrepancies, including product attributes like dimensions, units of measure, manufacturer info, and category-specific data critical to the retail and wholesale environment.

Research and analyze production support tickets, recommending solutions and enhancements based on user feedback.

Gather requirements and write detailed test cases for new MDM/PIM features and system upgrades; coordinate with IT teams to validate seamless delivery and rollout.

Maintain thorough documentation of data processes, templates, enrichment procedures, testing protocols, and issue resolutions.

Provide training and support to internal users on effective PIM utilization, focusing on business-specific use cases in wholesale distribution and retail sectors.

Identify process improvements during data collection, analysis, and publication to support Master Data Management objectives and industry best practices.

Recommend upstream or downstream process changes required to comply with MDM guidelines and ensure data quality across the product lifecycle.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Strong understanding of wholesale distribution and retail business models, particularly in home center, hardware, lumber yard, farm, and pet product categories.

Working knowledge of Master Data Management principles and best practices.
