Job description

Operating Partner

Big Dan's Car Wash is a rapidly growing express car wash company with locations in Georgia, Florida, Tennessee and South Carolina. As a best-in-class operation, we are seeking leaders who don't just want a job-they want to make an impact by rolling up their sleeves and driving results. Successful Operating Partners are ambitious, energetic, and highly motivated hands-on leaders with the ability to lead from the front. They run the business as if it were their own, taking full ownership of performance, culture, sales, and day-to-day execution.

The Operating Partner is responsible for training, and developing a high-performing team while actively working alongside them to deliver efficient, cost-effective operations that meet and exceed Big Dan's standards.

Sales performance is a core expectation of this role. Operating Partners actively sell, set the pace for membership growth, coach in the moment, and hold the team accountable to revenue goals through presence and example.

This is a hands-on operational role. The ideal candidate is comfortable navigating mechanical and equipment-related issues, performing basic troubleshooting and adjustments, coordinating repairs, and taking immediate action to minimize downtime and protect wash quality and safety. If you are someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, loves selling, enjoys solving problems, and takes pride in building strong teams-it is an opportunity to make a measurable impact.

Above all, the Operating Partner is committed to exceeding expectations by delivering an extraordinary customer experience and an exceptionally clean car for every customer-every visit.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Successfully complete our on-site training program.
  • Engage with team members and interact with customers.
  • Work to increase customer satisfaction.
  • Increase bottom line revenue through the proper oversight and management of resources.
  • Oversee all employees and create a self-sufficient site.
  • Lifting, carrying, moving equipment and materials, performing routine cleaning and maintenance tasks, working outdoors in varying weather conditions, and assisting with other physical tasks necessary to support daily operations.
  • Must be comfortable being on your feet for extended periods and performing physical work as part of regular job duties.
  • Follow all preventative maintenance procedures and maintain proper inventory of chemicals and other supplies.
  • Meet or exceed Big Dan's standards and work to create a pipeline of future Operating Partners.
  • Various administrative duties.

Job Requirements:

  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in business, entrepreneurship, hospitality, or related field.
  • Applicants without a degree will be considered based on previous experience.
  • Applicants MUST be clean cut and neat in appearance.
  • Be enthusiastic and friendly.
  • Must enjoy working with people.
  • Treat customers and employees with respect.
  • Organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Problem solver.
  • Willing to lead by example.
  • Customer-centric mindset.
  • Like to learn new skills in areas of customer service, safety, mechanical, and computers.
  • Master all aspects of running a best-in-class car wash.
  • Complete certifications at Car Wash College (paid for by Big Dan's).
  • Live within 30 minutes of the wash.

Compensation:

  • Base: $75,000.
  • Bonus based on site performance.
  • Big Dan's covers 100% of the tier 1 employee only health plan and/or allocate that amount toward an employee/spouse, employee/child(ren), and/or family plan.
  • 401K with 3% match.
  • Phone allowance.
