Your future role at a glance

Location: Carmel, IN

Facility: St. Vincent Carmel

Department/Specialty: Women's Health Boutique

Schedule: Days | PRN

How you'll make an impact in this role

Perform a variety of durable medical equipment fittings and customer service functions. Populations served include mastectomy, maternity, oncology, lymphedema, hair loss, pelvic floor and bariatric.

  • Schedule and conducts fittings for a variety of durable medical equipment, including post-mastectomy breast prostheses and bras, wigs, compression garments and maternity support items.
  • Assist patients with the selection of breast pumps, nursing support items and any retail products not requiring a fitting.
  • Complete administrative tasks, including assisting with insurance forms, documentation of eligibility and pre-authorization.
  • Communicate with clinicians and patients in order to obtain missing or required information, and follow up with patients to assess further needs.
What minimum qualifications you'll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • Certified Prosthetic Tech specializing in Mastectomy Fitting credentialed from the American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics, & Pedorthics obtained within 24 Months (2 years) of hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Certification specializing in Biomedical preferred.

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate'sdegree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
