Job description

Job Title: Cath Lab Technician
Location: Hyannis, MA 02601
Duration: 13 Weeks (with possibility of extension)
Shift: Day/Evening Shift
Schedule: 40 hours/week

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Cath Lab Technician with Electrophysiology (EP) experience to support cardiac, vascular, and interventional radiology procedures. The ideal candidate will assist physicians during complex procedures, ensure patient safety, and operate advanced imaging equipment in a high-acuity environment.

Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians during Cath Lab and EP procedures (scrubbing, monitoring, and circulating)
  • Support interventional procedures including angiograms, embolization, PICC lines, dialysis access, and biopsies
  • Operate imaging equipment while adhering to radiation safety protocols
  • Monitor patient condition and hemodynamic data throughout procedures
  • Prepare and maintain sterile fields; handle instruments and assist with contrast administration
  • Provide patient care, including explaining procedures and ensuring patient comfort
  • Maintain and troubleshoot equipment; manage inventory and supplies
  • Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and quality standards
  • Assist with electrophysiology (EP) procedures as required
Required Qualifications
  • Background in Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, or a related field
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
Certifications (One or More Required)
  • RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist), CI, or VI
  • ARRT certification (for radiology-based candidates)
Preferred Qualifications
  • IABP (Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump) certification
  • 2–5+ years of experience in Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology, or Electrophysiology (EP)
Licensure
  • Active Massachusetts state license (required for radiologic technologists)
