Job description

Kamatics is seeking a Summer Seasonal Assembler who will work within our production team, offering hands-on experience in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. Assemblers will be placed in one of several Karon support areas based on business needs and will be expected to work independently while demonstrating strong attention to detail and technical aptitude.

Candidates must be currently enrolled in a degree program.

Schedule:
  • Day shift: 6:00 AM – 3:30 PM

  • May support different departments or roles as needed based on business needs


Responsibilities:All Assemblers:
  • Follow work instructions and maintain quality standards

  • Support various departments as needed

  • Work in a fast-paced production environment


Grit Assembler:
  • Prepare parts for finishing processes, including taping and tumbling

  • Load parts into fixtures and perform grit blasting

  • Mask and/or remove tape using razors or X-Acto blades

  • Perform light machining and finishing tasks such as polishing, cleaning, and deburring metallic parts

  • Lift and move trays of parts as needed


Karon Applicator:
  • Perform light machining and finishing tasks such as polishing, cleaning, and deburring metallic parts

  • Tape and paint parts using various masking techniques

  • Mask and/or remove tape using razors or X-Acto blades

  • Spray parts using equipment similar to automotive spray guns (respirator may be required)

  • Assemble components as needed


Pack Assembler:
  • Package parts into bags, boxes, and shipping containers

  • Create and apply labels using computer software

  • Set up and operate packaging, laser marking, and assembly press equipment

  • Perform light finishing work such as polishing, cleaning, and deburring parts

  • Assemble components as needed

  • Lift materials up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment


Qualifications:

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Currently enrolled in a higher education program


Required Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn

  • Dependable, flexible, and team-oriented

  • Ability to follow instructions and maintain quality standards

  • Comfortable working with chemicals; PPE (including respirators, where required) will be provided

  • Ability to work in a noisy environment with required hearing protection

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs in certain areas

  • Employee referrals are preferred


Preferred Skills:
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office

  • CAD experience is a plus


Physical Requirements:
  • Frequent standing and walking

  • Occasional sitting

  • Lifting up to 40–50 lbs depending on role
