Job description

Required Qualifications:

  • Must have a BS in engineering or 5 years of related experience.
  • Tooling experience required.
  • Excellent English communication skills both oral and written.
  • Excellent organizational skills with dedication to quality.
  • Knowledge in computer software for Windows, Auto-CAD or CAD equivalent
  • Knowledge of IATF16949 and APQP processes

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of "tooling method plan" packages for quotation of new business proposals on an assigned
    project.
  • Provides Tool follow-up for new programs.
  • Works closely with manufacturing, quality, & production tooling group to ensure die build will meet the
    plant's specific needs.
  • Maintains tooling progress with vendors to make sure die delivery is on-time & with-in budget.
  • Receive, review and disseminate supplier quotation packages.
  • Basic knowledge of materials and specifications for assigned project.
  • Knowledge of assigned manufacturing facilities capabilities and limitations.
  • Work closely with product design and manufacturing to support DFM&A concerns including GD&T at
    both the assembly and detail levels.
  • Maintain up-to-date:
    • Quote support documentation.
    • Current die method plans.
    • Manufacturing concern issues
  • Travel to Martinrea facilities and integrators to support tooling build, buy off and aid in the integration at
    the manufacturing facility up to and through program launch.
  • Execute Material Reduction Initiatives.
  • Responsible for development of press set-up documents.
  • Responsible for working with EHS to ensure all safety protocols are being met/followed.
  • Competency Level 3 understanding of all advanced processes and interactions as determined by the
    leadership team.
