DESCRIPTION
Job Summary
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the overall operation, safety, appearance, and functionality of the hotel property. This position ensures guest rooms, public areas, and hotel equipment are properly maintained according to Marriott brand standards while providing exceptional guest service and support to hotel operations.
Essential Job Functions
  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs throughout the hotel property.
  • Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests and work orders.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
  • Maintain hotel guest rooms, public areas, meeting spaces, and exterior grounds.
  • Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance or safety concerns.
  • Repair and maintain lighting, appliances, locks, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, OSHA regulations, and hotel policies.
  • Assist with painting, carpentry, drywall, and minor renovation projects.
  • Maintain organized maintenance shop, tools, and supply inventory.
  • Monitor boiler, HVAC, fire safety, and pool systems as applicable.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance situations when needed.
  • Support housekeeping and front desk teams to ensure guest satisfaction.

Qualifications
  • Previous maintenance experience preferred, especially in hospitality or commercial buildings.
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general repairs.
