Job description

At Stash, our mission is to make financial opportunity accessible to everyone. We've built a platform that helps millions of Americans invest, save, and build long-term wealth through education, tools, and personalized guidance. Today, more than 6 million customers rely on Stash to take control of their financial future.

We believe the best way to serve customers is through simple products, thoughtful design, and teams that are deeply committed to our mission. If you're excited about helping people build better financial habits and expanding access to investing, we'd love to hear from you.

We're a diverse group who love to collaborate, treat each other with respect and kindness, and genuinely enjoy working together. We're self-motivated and curious, and love experimenting with new tools, strategies, and ways of working.

Stash is hiring a Video Producer for the creative team, reporting to the Creative Director. This is a hands-on, performance-driven role: you'll concept, shoot, and edit content that drives discovery and adoption of Stash.

You'll create ads for platforms like Meta, TikTok, YouTube, and other channels, producing original footage, editing, building variations for testing, and using performance insights to improve what we make next.

We're looking for someone who thinks creatively, edits with purpose, and knows how to make content that feels native to social platforms while staying on brand and driving action. You're collaborative, curious, organized, and excited to turn financial topics into clear, engaging videos that drive real business results.

This position operates on a hybrid schedule, requiring you to be on-site in our New York office at least three days per week to work with stakeholders and foster team collaboration.

What you'll do:

Create paid social video ads
  • Concept, shoot, produce, and edit paid social video ads from start to finish.
  • Develop strong hooks, clear narratives, and calls to action that help users quickly understand the value of Stash.
  • Create multiple versions of each concept, testing hooks, lengths, formats, and visual approaches.
  • Adapt and resize videos for different placements, aspect ratios, and platform specs.
Shoot and produce original content
  • Shoot and direct original footage that includes UGC-style videos, scripted ads, product explainers, testimonials, founder content and more.
  • Manage pre-production, including scripting, shot lists, storyboards, talent coordination, locations, props, and overall planning.
  • Capture footage that feels native to each platform while staying true to the Stash brand.
  • Manage production timelines and budgets.
Edit and iterate creative
  • Edit polished, platform-native ads with a strong sense of pacing, storytelling, and performance.
  • Create simple motion graphics and product visuals that make financial concepts easy to understand.
  • Use performance data and creative insights to iterate on what's working and improve future ads.
  • Maintain a steady cadence of new concepts and variations to support creative testing.
  • Organize and maintain video files, project files, templates, and asset libraries for the marketing team.
Partner cross-functionally
  • Partner with Marketing, Growth, Social, Product Marketing, and Compliance teams to align creative with campaign goals and brand standards.
  • Turn briefs, product messaging, customer insights, and performance learnings into compelling video concepts.
  • Support the broader creative team on ad hoc video and motion needs across marketing channels as needed.
Apply AI thoughtfully
  • Bring genuine curiosity for innovation and a drive to experiment with emerging AI tools, workflows, and creative techniques.
  • Draw on real, hands-on experience applying AI in production and practice
  • Know when and where to use AI effectively, applying it to work faster and smarter rather than using it for the sake of using it. Have a perspective on where AI helps and where it doesn't.

What we're looking for:

  • 5+ years of experience producing and editing video content for paid social.
  • A portfolio or reel that demonstrates strong social-first video work, including paid social ads, UGC-style content, or performance creative.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects.
  • An experimental mindset and experience with AI tools that help the production process.
  • Comfortable shooting original video content and working across every phase of a production.
  • Strong understanding of paid social platforms and platform-specific best practices.
  • Strong sense of pacing, storytelling, visual hierarchy, and what makes people stop scrolling.
  • Ability to make complex or technical topics feel simple, clear, and engaging.
  • A collaborative mindset and openness to feedback.

Gold Stars:

  • Experience creating video ads for fintech, consumer finance, or another regulated industry.
  • Experience with UGC-style ads, creator-led content, testimonials, or scripted performance ads.
  • Experience with CapCut, Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, or other creative tools.
  • Basic motion design or animation skills.
  • Familiarity with creative testing, performance marketing metrics, and paid media workflows.
