The hiring range for this opportunity is $95,000 to $115,000 annual salary along with incentive opportunities, creating a competitive total compensation package based on our pay scale, and may be modified by location and is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Marketing Research Manager leads an array of marketing research activities and provides relevant and actionable information, insights and recommendations to Marketing and Product Management staff and other bank leaders. The Marketing Research Manager identifies marketing research opportunities, scopes and gains approval of new research projects, and ensures that marketing research projects are completed on-time and within budget, while meeting project objectives. The Marketing Research Manager demonstrates a strong understanding of marketing research techniques and standards in order to provide insights that drive quality business decisions throughout the bank.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
โ€ข Executes ongoing qualitative and quantitative research projects, including planning; sampling and data management; questionnaire development; data collection, analysis and interpretation; and preparing final reports and presentations.
โ€ข Extracts actionable insights from research and effectively communicates them to Marketing and Product Management staff, senior bank leaders and internal clients.
โ€ข Consults with internal stakeholders to define project objectives; designs research efforts accordingly; and effectively communicates actionable insights and recommendations.
โ€ข Maintains, extends and enhances the bank's Customer Satisfaction and New Customer Experience tracking systems. Supervises related vendors while monitoring data quality, research processes and analytics. Recommends and implements improvements and efficiencies. Reviews and propagates research results and presents actionable insights to drive business decisions.
โ€ข Conducts secondary research on topics as requested by Marketing and Product Management staff and other bank leaders. Discovers available information, and if necessary, evaluates and recommends research report purchases. Synthesizes information, writes research summaries and presents relevant findings to internal stakeholders.
โ€ข Maintains and grows a library of current research pertaining to relevant banking trends and products.
โ€ข Supervises vendor relationships, if applicable, and ensures compliance with the bank's vendor management system and policies.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
โ€ข Stays abreast of new trends and developments in marketing research in order to ensure the continued success of the bank's marketing research program.
โ€ข Maintains a working knowledge of bank products, processes and people, as well of banking trends, regulation and the competitive environment.
โ€ข Ensures all activities are compliant with related banking rules and regulations related to advertising, including Unfair Deceptive or Abusive Acts or Practices (UDAAP), Regulation B, Regulation Z, Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and Regulation DD.
โ€ข Maintains a current understanding of Bank policies and procedures in compliance with all federal and state laws, including but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act (SARs, CIP, OFAC), Information Security (GLBA), Identity Theft Red Flags, Financial Elder Abuse Reporting, and any other applicable regulations that may be specific to your job duties.
โ€ข Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
โ€ข Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
โ€ข Three or more years' experience supervising qualitative and quantitative marketing research projects; experience in banking or financial services helpful.
โ€ข Experience with Salesforce, Marketing Cloud and Salesforce Surveys preferred.
โ€ข Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work on multiple projects.
โ€ข Demonstrated analytic skills, including the ability to extract actionable insights from primary and secondary research.
โ€ข Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
โ€ข Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
