1. Job Summary

As a Marketing Manager at Kakao Entertainment Global Corp., you will lead the planning, execution, and analysis of promotional campaigns for K-pop artists and their merchandise, driving their success in the U.S. market. You will develop innovative strategies to maximize artist visibility and fan engagement across radio, digital streaming platforms (DSPs), social media, and retail channels. Collaborating with internal teams, artists, and external partners, you will secure playlist placements, media exposure, and merchandise sales, elevating our K-pop artists’ global influence.

2. Key Responsibilities

Project Planning

  • Design comprehensive promotional campaigns for K-pop artist releases, tours, merchandise launches, and special projects, tailored to the U.S. market.
  • Coordinate the production and distribution of promotional assets, including digital content, merchandise designs, and press kits, ensuring alignment with K-pop branding.
  • Manage campaign timelines to synchronize deliverables with artist schedules, U.S. market trends, and strategic marketing initiatives.

Marketing Strategy & Campaign Execution

  • Execute targeted marketing campaigns to promote K-pop artists and merchandise, leveraging platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and Spotify to engage U.S. fans.
  • Oversee multi-channel efforts, including digital advertising, influencer collaborations, fan events, and PR, to amplify artist and merchandise visibility.
  • Build relationships with U.S.-based DSPs, media outlets, and retail partners to secure playlist placements, media features, and merchandise distribution.

Performance Analysis

  • Monitor and analyze campaign performance using data-driven insights to optimize fan engagement and merchandise sales in the U.S.
  • Generate detailed reports on key metrics, such as streaming numbers, social media reach, and merchandise revenue, providing actionable recommendations.
  • Stay informed on K-pop trends and U.S. consumer preferences to refine marketing strategies.

3. Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in music marketing, label management, or project management within the music industry.
  • In-depth understanding of independent music culture, digital distribution platforms, and streaming services (e.g., Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, SoundCloud).
  • Proven expertise in developing and executing marketing strategies for indie artists and labels.
  • Proficiency with music industry tools (e.g., Spotify for Artists, Apple Music for Artists, YouTube CMS).
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities, with a track record of managing multiple projects under tight deadlines.

4. Preferred Skills

  • Business-level proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking Korean.
  • Experience with project management tools such as Asana, Monday.com, or Trello.
  • Knowledge of physical distribution, vinyl/CD production, or direct-to-consumer (D2C) sales.
  • Expertise in digital marketing, social media strategy, or influencer marketing.
