Job Summary:
The strategic marketing manager is the primary partner for Avnet's key supplier manufacturers' marketing strategy, building trusted relationships and driving initiatives that address customer needs, deliver measurable impact, and convert into revenue. This position requires strong supplier relationship management, budget and project ownership, and the ability to analyze campaign performance to continually optimize outcomes. Directly accountable for the full concept-to-delivery campaign lifecycle, this role partners with creative/agency resources, Avnet sales and stakeholders on market analysis, content development, promotion planning, and performance reporting.
  • Serve as the primary strategic marketing partner for assigned supplier manufacturers, building trusted, consultative relationships aligned to business goals.
  • Develop annual and multi-quarter marketing roadmaps that align supplier priorities with Avnet growth objectives and market opportunities.
  • Translate business objectives into integrated go-to-market strategies spanning digital, content, events, lead generation, and nurture.
  • Orchestrate full-funnel marketing strategies that drive awareness, engagement, pipeline creation, and revenue impact.
  • Identify gaps in the funnel and introduce new or exploratory marketing tactics to engage customers earlier in the design lifecycle.
  • Advise stakeholders on strategic investment decisions, recommending the optimal mix of channels and programs to maximize ROI.
  • Partner with Sales and Lead Management to ensure lead quality, routing, and conversion strategies support pipeline acceleration.
  • Own end-to-end execution of marketing initiatives, coordinating across internal teams, agencies, and supplier stakeholders.
  • Lead the development and delivery of integrated campaigns across content, digital, events, ABM, and nurture programs.
  • Stay informed on market trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics, bringing forward insights and innovative ideas to strengthen marketing strategy and differentiation.
  • Coordinate with vendors/agencies to produce promotional materials, marketing collateral, websites and other marketing communications materials.
  • Monitor and analyze data, sentiment and trends; make proactive and strategic recommendations based on data.
  • Establish KPIs with suppliers; report regularly on outcomes and make recommendations to optimize campaigns.
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Level Specifications
  • Demonstrates strong understanding of electronics, engineering design lifecycles, and supply chain dynamics, with the ability to translate into effective marketing strategy.
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead through complexity across suppliers, sales, and marketing teams.
  • Operates with a high degree of autonomy, owning long-range strategy and execution.
  • Balances strategic thinking with hands-on execution, ensuring delivery of measurable business outcomes.
  • May act as a mentor or informal leader within the team.

Work Experience:
  • Typically 8+ years in marketing and/or sales with bachelor's or equivalent.

Education and Certification(s):
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained.

Distinguishing Characteristics:
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing and 4 years' experience within electronic and engineering design life cycles, and/or supply chain industry knowledge preferred.
