Position Summary Information
Job Description Summary
The purpose of this position is to assist in the research, writing and publications of original materials for the Continuing Education Department. Develop graphics and layouts for execution in promotional marketing materials for print and web campaigns. Plan, produce and coordinate the Department's social media applications by keeping the community updated with the daily news and events happening at the College. Coordinate with and submit to College Relations the timely delivery of marketing publications and support materials. Assist Department with developing promotional campaigns and marketing strategies for various target audiences. Assist in campus outreach and special events.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED equivalency.
Six months related experience.
Required Job Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Demonstrated ability to produce promotional materials for web and print publications and content for commercial social media sites.
Demonstrated knowledge/expertise in reporting, writing and editing for print publications.
Must be detail-oriented and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills with talent and ability to create and post online content.
Proficient in Photoshop, CANVA, InDesign, Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office (Word, Publisher and Outlook).
Preferred Qualifications
Associate degree in Communications, Marketing, Advertising or related field.
Two (2) years experience working in marketing or advertising.
