The Role:
Guard, patrol, and/or monitor the venue premises to prevent theft, violence, and rule infractions. Operated metal detector equipment and performed bag searches and pat-down screenings as necessary.
Job Functions:
  • Monitor and authorize the entrance and departure of employees, guests, and other people to guard against theft and maintain the security and safety of the premises.
  • Able to provide stellar customer service with a smile.
  • Assist with keeping the venue safe, clean, and presentable to the guests.
  • Circulating among guests and/or employees to preserve safety and order and to protect the venue's property.
  • May write reports pertaining to incidents or special occurrences during the event.
  • Patrol/Monitor premises to maintain a safe environment for artists, patrons, and staff.
  • Operate detecting devices to screen individuals and prevent the passage of prohibited articles into restricted areas. Perform bag searches.
  • Guide guests to exit or provide other instructions or assistance in an emergency.
  • Partner with fellow crew members at the end of the show to close the venue- this may include collecting and properly storing event equipment such as barricades and tables. Also, crew members will assist the sustainability team in collecting and placing cans and cups in the proper bins.
  • Assist patrons by giving directions to places inside or outside the venue.
  • Ensure guests are safely enjoying the show.
  • Additional tasks as requested by the Supervisor or Management.
  • This role is part-time and seasonal and requires evening and weekend availability.
  • Identifying any hazard or potential situation before it arises
  • Must be willing to learn multiple positions within the venue.

Qualifications:
  • Security experience preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Good working knowledge of security operations, safety practices in an entertainment environment, and enforcement procedures.
  • Ability to perform duties in a professional manner and appearance.
  • Ability to make independent and good judgment decisions within proper policy and procedures.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Acute sense of judgment, tact, and diplomacy
  • A strong sense of teamwork and ability to execute programs.
  • Able to work 50 percent of the shows.
  • Ability to stand for more than 4 hours or more.
  • Able to properly communicate instructions to attendees.
  • Position requires constant walking, climbing stairs, lifting, and working outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Must be flexible to work in both BOH and FOH settings.
  • This is a seasonal part-time position.
