Responsibilities
  • Monitor market risk exposures for domestic and international equities trading desks.
  • Support model integrity and backโ€‘testing for risk controls, including VaR and stress metrics.
  • Analyze and validate equity stresses, Greeks, and VaR results.
  • Build and maintain risk reporting tools using GUI, SQL, Excel/VBA, and AI technologies.
  • Prepare daily and weekly risk summaries and support regulatory reporting.
  • Collaborate with frontโ€‘office trading desks to review limit usage and strategies.
  • Proactively monitor and investigate deviations in trading activity.
  • Track and reconcile P&L attribution with risk factor movements.
  • Support multiple products/strategies, including equity options and OTC market making.
  • Ensure adherence to internal risk policies and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in market risk management, with equity risk exposure.
  • Strong programming skills, particularly SQL, for data analysis and reporting.
  • Solid understanding of market risk concepts: VaR, stress testing, Greeks, etc.
  • Experience with Fidessa and Bloomberg is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration across teams.
  • Ability to adapt and manage multiple priorities in a fastโ€‘paced environment.
  • Proficiency in GUI, Excel/VBA, and Python is an asset.
  • Familiarity with internal AI tools for risk management.
  • A proactive and detailโ€‘oriented approach to risk monitoring and investigation.

The actual base salary will be determined on an individualized basis considering a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, education, and, where applicable, licenses or certifications held. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package (including health, vision, and dental insurance, paid time off and a 401(k) retirement), this position may be eligible for additional types of compensation including discretionary bonuses and other short- and longโ€‘term incentives (e.g., deferred cash, equity, etc.).
