Job description

We are looking for technicians who can service marine fire fighting equipment and perform annual and 5 yearly inspections on lifesaving appliances for commercial ships.

Company is specialized on marine safety services such as fire fighting systems, life rafts, lifeboats and calibration services.

The ideal applicant will not need to be an experienced technician in this field rather than ready and desired for training but we expect him to have exceptional customer service skills and be willing to spend the necessary time explaining issues to customers and helping them understand their service needs. Our company offers a intensive training for improvement. The work is generally physically demanding.

Responsibilities

  • Work with technical supervisor to obtain company's goals in terms of technical quality of provided services
  • Providing onboard inspection services for ships
  • Conduct marine safety equipment inspections in accordance with company technical procedures

Requirements:

  • General and mechanic skills
  • High school diploma
  • Must have a clean criminal record
  • Must be able to pass drug screen
  • Must be physically fit to perform services
  • Familiarity with the basic mechanical tools
  • Must have a valid TWIC card
  • Willing to learn and desire for training
  • Willing to work with a flexible schedule of working hours

Required education:

  • High school or equivalent

Required licenses or certifications:

  • TWIC , Driver's License

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
