Job description

Eastport Spar & Rigging (ESR) is looking for an experienced Rigging Technician to join our team. We are searching for a hardworking individual who enjoys meeting challenges and surpassing customer expectations in a team environment. The ideal candidate must have a background in sailing; we are willing to train the right person. Rigging work will be completed on-site, and at neighboring marinas in and around Anne Arundel County. We are seeking a reliable long-term candidate who is looking for a secure and rewarding form of employment.
Responsibilities and Duties
  • Read and interpret work orders, diagrams and other written instructions to perform tasks at hand
  • Sailboat commissioning e.g., step mast, tune rigging, install boom and sails, etc.
  • General boat maintenance
Qualifications and Skills
  • High School or equivalent education required
  • 2+ years marine tech experience preferred
  • Experience working on sailboats or knowledge of boating practices and safety procedures a plus
  • Must have own transportation and ability to travel to jobs at nearby marinas in AA County
  • Nonsmoking preferred
Job Type:  Full Time / 40 hours per week, Monday thru Friday
Salary:  $20 - $30 per hour based on qualification
