Description
Freeman Boatworks builds some of the most respected offshore fishing boats in the world, and we're looking for a skilled Service & Warranty Technician to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with strong marine rigging experience, excellent diagnostic skills, and the professionalism to work directly with our customers.Â
What You'll Do
 Perform diagnostic, repair, and warranty work on Freeman boats-including electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and rigging systems
 Troubleshoot and repair issues reported by customers or internal quality teams
 Serve as a knowledgeable, customer-facing representative when assisting owners with service needs
 Assist with delivery prep, post-delivery support, and technical documentation
 Work closely with Production, Engineering, and QC teams to identify root causes and recommend improvements
 Maintain detailed service and warranty records
 Keep a clean, organized work area and follow all company safety policies
 Travel occasionally for on-site service, customer support, or repair work - representing Freeman Boatworks with professionalism
What We're Looking For
 Marine rigging experience required (boat rigging, engine installation, controls, electrical routing, etc.)
 Strong diagnostic skills across electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems
 Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and rigging drawings
 Excellent customer communication and documentation skills
 Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
 Ability to lift, move, and work with heavy components
 Comfort working in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment
 Team-oriented, dependable, and safety-minded
Qualifications
 2-3 years of marine rigging, service, or marine technician experience preferred
 Valid driver's license; ability to travel occasionally for service work
