Outboard Marine Technician

Moss Marina | Fort Myers Beach, Florida

Experienced Marine Technician? Come Build Your Future at Moss Marina.

Moss Marina is a growing, full-service marina located on beautiful Fort Myers Beach. Our Service Department is expanding, and we're looking for an experienced Outboard Marine Technician to join our team.

We work on a wide variety of boats and outboard systems, giving our technicians the opportunity to diagnose, repair, and rig equipment rather than doing the same job every day.

If you're an experienced technician who takes pride in quality workmanship, enjoys solving problems, and wants to work for a company that invests in its people, we'd like to meet you.

What You'll Do

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain outboard engines and marine systems
  • Perform routine maintenance, rigging, installations, and repairs
  • Accurately diagnose mechanical and electrical issues
  • Complete work efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards
  • Document work performed and communicate repair needs clearly
  • Provide professional service to customers and work closely with the Service Department team
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
  • Follow manufacturer procedures and safety standards

What We're Looking For

  • Experience servicing and repairing outboard marine engines
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Professional attitude and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and customer-focused
  • Mercury, Suzuki, Yamaha, or other marine manufacturer certification is a plus, but not required
  • Willingness to continue learning and obtain additional manufacturer certifications

We are willing to invest in the right technician. If you have strong marine mechanical experience but don't have every certification listed above, we still want to hear from you.

What Moss Marina Offers

  • Competitive hourly pay based on experience and certifications
  • Full-time, year-round employment
  • Performance-based earning opportunities
  • Manufacturer training and certification opportunities
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) retirement plan
  • Paid time off and vacation
  • A professional, team-oriented work environment
  • Opportunities for advancement as our Service Department continues to grow
  • The opportunity to work on a wide variety of boats, engines, and marine systems
  • A beautiful waterfront work location on Fort Myers Beach

We Invest in Our Technicians

We want our technicians to grow with Moss Marina. After your first 6 months, we'll review your performance, productivity, quality of work, and overall contribution to the Service Department and establish a performance bonus opportunity based on your role and results.

Why Moss Marina?

We're not just looking for someone to fill a position. We're looking for a technician who wants to become an important part of a growing marine service operation.

At Moss Marina, you'll have the opportunity to build your skills, earn manufacturer certifications, take on more responsibility, and grow your earning potential as you grow with us.

If you're an experienced marine technician looking for steady, year-round work with a company that values quality workmanship and its employees, we want to hear from you.
