We’re looking for an experienced Marine Engineer to grow our team in Chesapeake, VA or Ledyard, CT. Responsibilities:
  • Research technical manuals, ship drawings, feedback, and regulatory requirements to assist in new vessel maintenance plan development or revisions
  • Perform shipchecks to assist in the development and validation of maintenance plan
  • Assist in condition monitoring system development, installation, and commissioning
  • Collect and validate machinery vibration data and diesel engine combustion data from operating machinery while in port and at sea
  • Travel to vessels to perform maintenance system software installation
  • Install programs onto computer or computercontrolled equipment
  • Provide support for research projects
  • Assist in root cause analysis investigations
  • Manage and prioritize multiple project timelines
  • Any additional duties assigned to help assist in other departments
  • Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
  • Must be able to obtain a DOD Security Clearance
  • Ability to perform work onboard ships while underway
  • Ability to climb ladders
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs., sit and/or stand for long periods of time
  • Desired Qualifications:
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, and job specific software applications

  • Highly organized and Detailoriented

  • Sailing or Shipyard experience
  • USCG license
  • SAMM experience
  • SQL or Python Programming experience
  • Current Passport
  • Ability to travel local, domestic, and internationally when required
