Precise Power Systems (PPS) is a US based company specializing in Fuel and Lube Oil delivery systems. We serve the Marine, Power Generation, and General Industrial Markets. From engineering, fabrication, testing, and field support – PPS has all the tools to manage complex projects and deliver high quality systems that meet our customers unique and difficult requirements. PPS also has experience in the design and fabrication of auxiliary fluid delivery modules for gas turbines and diesel engines. These fully assembled platforms make for seamless integration into a ship’s existing system. This provides substantial benefits to shipbuilders, designers, vessel owners and operators. These platforms provide a plug-n-play, or turnkey type integration to the ship’s systems.

Job Function

  • Lead, coach, and develop the Precise Power engineering team, including supporting performance management, hiring, onboarding, talent development, and resource planning.
  • Responsible for execution of system projects: responsibilities include technical specification reviews, equipment and component review, and completion of project 2d and 3d drawing packages.
  • Oversee and work together with staff engineers on drawing reviews and technical specifications, manage outsourced technical support, as well as internal production team members and self-perform calculations and prepare drawings and technical specifications
  • Establish and maintain engineering standards, procedures, tools, and best practices to promote consistent, high-quality, and compliant project execution
  • Establish engineering drawing timelines and schedules in order to meet customer delivery expectations
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance for marine engineering projects, including design reviews, engineering deliverables, and project recommendations.
  • Review plans, drawings, specifications, calculations, schedules, estimates, and technical documentation for accuracy, completeness, constructability, and compliance.
  • Support proposal and business development efforts by providing technical input, scope guidance, and subject matter expertise for marine engineering work.
  • Partner with internal teams, clients, contractors, regulatory agencies, flag authorities, and classification societies to support project approvals, issue resolution, and business objectives.
  • Lead functional teams or projects with minimal resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or Mechanical Engineering with marine experience
  2. Minimum 10 years managing an engineering group, including monitoring scope and budget, creating schedules, managing resources, and communications
  3. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with aggressive deadlines and frequent change
  4. Strong organizational skills and success managing multiple projects simultaneously
  5. Personal emphasis on attention to detail
  6. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  7. Strong work ethic with enthusiastic, “can do” attitude and a fierce sense of ownership
  8. Demonstratable track-record of taking initiative and being a creative problem-solver
  9. Experience using MS Office tools (i.e., MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint)
  10. Advanced knowledge and experience with MS Excel and MS PowerPoint)
  11. Acumen for learning new technology and integrating tools into workflow
  12. Experience in the automotive industry (retail or corporate) a significant plus
  13. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
  14. Knowledge of principles of structures, fluid systems, and piping

Compensation is negotiable based on experience and would include a bonus program
