Job description

Reports to: Operations Manager

The Yard Crews responsibility is to perform the duties below on a regular basis and meet customer satisfaction standards as well as company performance and safety requirements. This position requires the team member to work 5 days per week and 8 hours per day. Seasonal schedule changes may take place at management discretion.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Operate lift trucks, hydraulic trailers, travel lift hoist, arial lift, and work boat
  2. Perform minor carpentry and painting on an as-needed basis
  3. Perform some mechanical repairs on company equipment
  4. Move and launch boats, checking and safely securing boats moored at the docks
  5. Proficiency in using hand tools and small power tools
  6. Demonstrate good judgment and problem-solving skills and abilities
  7. Perform other duties as assigned or apparent

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Act with the highest level of integrity and maintain a positive attitude
  • High school diploma required
  • Valid drivers license required
  • Experience in the performance of jobs related to maintenance and repair is preferred
  • Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job (see below)
  • Must be able to complete assigned work in an efficient and timely manner
  • Strong work ethic and personal commitment
  • Ability to work in a team environment to achieve team, department, and company goals
  • Ability to be a self-starter and work independently
  • Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize work
