Cultivation Security Guard

Location: 7420 Rex Road, Pueblo, CO 81005

Pay Rate: $14.00 - 16.00 per hour

Summary: The cultivation security guard is an overnight position that will stay onsite overnight to ensure the safety of the property and its contents. They will ensure no unauthorized visitors attempt to enter the property overnight, that all systems are functioning normally, and that there are no issues with any of the plants overnight. If need be, they will alert management and/or law enforcement to any issues that may arise.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Secure premises by patrolling property.
  • Inspect buildings, equipment, and access points.
  • Prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities and informing violators of policy and procedure.
  • Accurately log inbound / outbound traffic via site specific site procedures.
  • Provide direction and support to associates needing assistance with security matters
  • Report suspicious activities, safety hazards, unusual circumstances and/or behavior, maintenance issues, accidents, injuries, etc.
  • Investigate and report maintenance and safety conditions which may endanger the company, its associates, or public safety.
  • Patrol on foot to maintain visibility and observe possible unusual activities at facilities.
  • Deter theft and vandalism.
  • Ensure the client, its associates, and facility personnel are provided with a safe and professional work environment
  • Ensure that daily administrative documentation is always kept concise and complete
  • Uniform attire and grooming standards must be maintained while in uniform
  • Perform other related duties as required
  • Adhere to company mission statement and core values, while maintaining high ethical standards and professionalism.
  • Complete all duties in a timely manner consistent with company standards.
  • All other job duties as assigned
Qualifications

Education: High School diploma or General Education Development (GED) required

Must maintain current knowledge and adhere to all policy and regulations of the Colorado Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED); Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE), Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)

Required Skills & Experience:

Must hold a current MED employee badge

Must have 2 years verifiable experience

Must have a valid driver's license

Physical requirements:

Must be able to complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.

Must be able to sit, stand, walk, stoop, crouch, reach, and lift for extended periods of time.

Must be able to individually move objects up to 50 lbs in all directions.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

Knowledge of Colorado marijuana laws, MED regulations, and CDPHE requirements.

Previous marijuana industry experience preferred with priority given to candidates with experience in CO licensed facilities.

Security experience is required.

High-level critical thinking, attention to detail, mathematical, language and reasoning skills.
