We are looking for an Experienced CDL Driver with Navigator and Moffit Experience for our Arabi location.
Drivers will delivery lumber, building materials, millworks and other merchandise to customers site and our other locations.
Duties/ Responsibilities:
Plans and completes an efficient delivery and pick up route for the day.
Loads delivery vehicle with parcels scheduled for delivery.
Delivers parcels to correct addresses, obtaining signatures and proof of receipt when necessary.
Picks up parcels along the scheduled route, including items to be returned, company orders, and other items as requested.
Maintains basic records of truck mileage and deliveries made.
Ensures that delivery vehicle receives basic service according to maintenance schedule; reports larger service needs and mechanical issues to supervisor.
Assists in general warehouse duties when delivery route is completed.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Must maintain an active CDL license and Medical Card
Ability to drive safely.
Ability to use navigation tools such as onboard GPS, smartphone apps, and/or web-based or physical maps.
Ability to plan delivery routes.
Ability to maintain basic logs and records.
Ability to carry out a series of instructions without constant supervision.
Able to remain professional and courteous at all times.
Education and Experience:
Valid CDL driver’s license, current medical card and clean driving record.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
Must be able to load and unload packages with and without dollies in various types of weather.

With 4,800 square feet of retail space, a determined couple - Paul Jr. and Rosaline - operated Dufrene Lumber Co. in 1955 in the small town of Cut Off, Louisiana. Delivery was limited to Lafourche Parish. The three-employee company grew over the years, and by 1985 the staff had increased to ten full-time employees. Paul III and Becky Dufrene purchased the family business then relocated to a larger site also in Cut Off, increasing the retail space and operations to 96,000 square feet of property. He also changed the name to Dufrene Building Materials, Inc. Today the company has grown to over 200 employees and four locations. Dufrene Building Materials, Inc. occupies over 40 acres with over 200,000 square feet of covered storage space. With a fleet of 44 vehicles including seven 18-wheelers, we can offer local delivery as well as to the entire Gulf South, including Texas, Mississippi, Alabama and into Florida.
