Mapping Drivers usually spend their workdays driving predetermined routes in designated vehicles equipped with cameras and GPS units to collect geographic and street-level data. Each day often starts with a review of assigned routes, equipment checks, and coordination with a mapping team or supervisor. The role involves documenting road changes, landmarks, and other map-relevant features while adhering to set schedules and safety protocols. Mapping Drivers may occasionally report technical issues, adjust routes based on traffic, and upload collected data at the end of their shift. This blend of independent work and team communication makes each day varied and engaging.
