What You Will Do

  • Greet guests in a warm, friendly, professional, and timely manner
  • Be fluent in all menus, both food and beverage
  • Walk guests through the menu to answer any questions and assist with any necessary accommodations for allergies and dietary restrictions
  • Check back with guests about each dish and beverage, as well as when beverages are in need of being refreshed
  • Communicate effectively and respectfully with all service team members, both front and back of the house
  • Maintain an awareness of all product knowledge information and information on the history of the restaurant
  • Make beer and wine available for service staff members to obtain in order to deliver to guests
  • Craft cocktails in accordance with the recipes and make them available for service staff members to obtain in order to deliver to guests
  • Have an understanding of how to detect off flavors and to check beverages appropriately before serving
  • Keep service staff and management apprised of any items that sell out or change throughout service
  • Assist with receiving beverage deliveries and stocking in the designated areas before, during, and after service
  • Change out kegs and gas tanks when needed
  • Other tasks as assigned

Pay Transparency (California SB 1162 Compliance)

This position is expected to pay within the range of $16.50 + Tips per hour, depending on experience, qualifications, and location. This range reflects the base pay for this role and does not include other compensation or benefits.

Who We Are Looking For

  • Must hold a Food Handlers certificate and an Alcohol Serving certificate from an ABC-accredited program
  • Minimum of 2 years bartending experience in an upscale, high volume restaurant
  • Capable of handling stress under pressure and providing quality guest service
  • Willingness to maintain a clean, healthy, and safe working environment
  • Able to coordinate multiple activities with attention to detail
  • Ability to move quickly and carefully in narrow and confined spaces
  • Flexibility with job demands and open minded when being asked to complete tasks
  • Proficient use and operation of all equipment necessary to run the restaurant
  • Ability to move or handle equipment throughout the restaurant generally weighing 0-50 pounds
  • Able to work varied hours/days as business dictates
 
This role requires the ability to move and lift up to 50 lbs. Standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods of time and ensuring a professional appearance in a clean uniform are also required.
