In this position, you will serve as a Systems Engineer with a focus on systems modeling and analysis on challenging software development projects. You will be engaged with exciting and innovative advancements in Multi-Sensor and Information Fusion, Networked Situational Awareness, Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning and Visualization technologies. This position is located in Fulton, MD and does require some travel to customer sites as needed.
What You Will Do
  • Perform full life cycle systems engineering tasks including system requirements analysis, definition, architecture design, trade studies, integration, verification and validation (IV&V).
  • Work as a team member in the development of new mathematical algorithms for software products.
  • Provide engineering expertise in the area of complex mathematics, design analysis, modeling and simulation, system performance testing.
  • Serve as Technical Leader of small to medium engineering development teams
  • Some travel

Qualifications You Must Have
  • Experience as a Systems Analyst/System Engineer in the Aerospace and Defense industry
  • Working knowledge of developing system models and simulations, and developing complex algorithmic solutions in a tool such as MATLAB
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience

Qualifications We Prefer
  • M.S. in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or other Engineering related discipline
  • Experience with any of these systems: Command and Control (C2), Surveillance/Radars, Air Traffic Control, Mission Planning, Missile Systems or Combat/Fire Control systems.
  • Experience with any of the following: radar sensor integration, track filtering and track management techniques and algorithms, cloud computing, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning technologies.

The salary range for this role is 145,600 USD - 276,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
