Vaxxinova US is seeking an individual to join our team as an Associate Manufacturing Technician on the Batching team in Worthington, Minnesota.

About the role: The Associate Manufacturing Technician – Batching role is responsible for assisting and supporting the process, to ensure site wide compliance in production, testing, and distribution of veterinary biologic products, within the guidelines set by regulatory agencies. This position will work in an aseptic production laboratory within manufacturing.

Shift: Monday to Thursday 5:00am to 2:30pm and Friday 5:00am to 9:00am (some flexibility may be possible).

Main Responsibilities:

  • Work under minimal supervision to process and batch vaccines while maintaining a high level of process clarity with direct management
  • Follow SOPs in an efficient and accurate manner
  • Aseptically assist serial processing to ensure on-time delivery
  • Clean and maintain the aseptic environment; maintain cleanliness of facilities 
  • Assist with necessary documentation, ensuring accurate and complete information
  • Maintain inventory of laboratory consumables 
  • Assist in investigation of laboratory error to identify root cause and prevent repeated errors
  • Assist other departments as requested and complete other duties as assigned 
  • Promote safety in all areas of work, professional courtesy, and a positive work environment within the company 

Qualifications and Capabilities: 

  • Experience working in a regulated environment including the USDA/CVB, C-CVB, VICH, OSHA, Federal, State, and Local Agencies is preferred
  • A background in basic science and the ability to do basic mathematical calculations
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Communications skills to effectively work with teams, across departments, and outside vendors
  • Ability to follow department SOPs (Standard Operating Procedure)
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and follow verbal & written instructions in English
  • Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time; bending, twisting, and preforming fine motor manipulations required
  • Ability to lift 30 lbs routinely and 50 lbs occasionally.  

Experience/Educational Requirements: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent required with three years relevant work experience or an A.S. or higher degree in a related field with at least two years of work experience.
