As demand continues to grow nationwide, we’re looking for an exceptional operations leader to build a world-class manufacturing organization capable of scaling with our vision.
This is more than a production management role.
As our Director of Production, you’ll be responsible for designing and leading the entire production operation—from people and processes to capacity planning, facility layout, and operational excellence. You’ll create the systems that allow Golfsheds to consistently deliver premium quality while increasing efficiency, throughput, and profitability.

What You’ll Do
You will own the day-to-day and long-term performance of our production facility while helping shape the future of manufacturing at Golfsheds.
Production Leadership
  • Lead all production operations across fabrication, assembly, finishing, quality control, and shipping
  • Build, mentor, and develop high-performing production leaders and teams
  • Establish clear organizational structure, roles, and accountability throughout the production department
  • Recruit, hire, train, and retain exceptional production talent
  • Foster a culture centered around safety, quality, ownership, and continuous improvement
Capacity & Production Planning
  • Develop production schedules that align with customer demand and company growth objectives
  • Analyze throughput and identify production bottlenecks
  • Determine true production capacity and develop strategies to increase monthly output
  • Balance labor, equipment, and facility resources to maximize efficiency
  • Ensure production commitments align with installation schedules and customer expectations
Process Design & Operational Excellence
  • Design and continuously improve production workflows and manufacturing processes
  • Lead facility layout improvements to optimize workflow, efficiency, and safety
  • Standardize work instructions, production systems, and quality procedures
  • Implement Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Drive reductions in waste, downtime, scrap, and rework
Financial & Operational Management
  • Develop and manage the annual production budget
  • Monitor labor cost per unit, production efficiency, and overall manufacturing costs
  • Evaluate capital equipment investments and automation opportunities
  • Improve productivity while maintaining Golfsheds’ premium quality standards
  • Manage production resources to maximize profitability and operational performance
KPI Management & Accountability
Develop, monitor, and improve key manufacturing metrics, including:
  • Production throughput
  • Units completed per month
  • Labor efficiency
  • On-time delivery

  • Scrap and rework rates
  • Schedule adherence

  • Equipment utilization
  • Inventory accuracy
Establish clear expectations for department leaders and create a culture of accountability through measurable performance goals.
Cross-Functional Leadership
Work closely with Sales, Engineering, Purchasing, Inventory, Operations, and Installation teams to ensure every department is aligned with production capacity and customer commitments.
Responsibilities include:
  • Aligning production schedules with incoming sales
  • Coordinating material availability with Purchasing
  • Working with Engineering on manufacturability improvements
  • Ensuring Shipping and Installation teams receive completed projects on schedule
  • Supporting executive leadership with production forecasting and operational planning
What We’re Looking For
  • 7+ years of manufacturing or production leadership experience
  • Proven experience leading production teams in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of production planning, scheduling, and capacity management
  • Experience improving manufacturing processes using Lean or Continuous Improvement principles
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Financial acumen with experience managing budgets and production costs
  • Ability to analyze data and make operational decisions using KPIs
  • Strong problem-solving mindset with a passion for building scalable systems
  • Comfortable leading organizational change and process improvements
Preferred Qualifications
  • Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Operations, or Business degree (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience in construction manufacturing, modular construction, steel fabrication, or custom manufacturing
  • Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement certifications
  • Experience implementing ERP or manufacturing software systems
  • Multi-site or rapid-growth manufacturing experience is a plus
