POSITION TITLE: Production Team Member
LOCATION: Florence, Alabama
POSITION SUMMARY:
Tarkett is seeking a new Production Team Member to join their manufacturing team in Florence, Alabama. Promoting a safety culture and utilizing WCM tools and methodology, in this position you will work with others to deliver a quality product on time to Tarkett's customers.
ESSESNTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Operate equipment and machines that support production

  • Maintain and support 5S initiatives throughout the facility

  • Drive a safety culture by adhering to all safety rules, supporting safety initiatives, and communicating opportunities for improvement through near misses, and Kaizen

  • Maintain cleanliness of operations, equipment and facility

  • Operate forklift

  • Correctly move and label material/product throughout the process

  • Ensure a quality product is delivered to the customer by inspecting product throughout the process

  • Package and label material/product accurately

  • Perform repetitive tasks

  • Notify supervisor of defective material, equipment, or tools that hinder the process

  • Participate in projects and work with others to provide solutions to opportunities and drive improvement and efficient

REQUIREMENTS (including educational requirements)
  • Understand the importance of working safely

  • Pass a fit-to-work physical, drug screen, and background check

  • Able to stand for long periods of time

  • Able to work in a non-temperature controlled environment

  • Have a high school diploma or GED
