Production Supervisor
Mobile, AL - 2nd Shift / Madisonville, LA - Day Shift
Our client, a growing food manufacturing organization, is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to oversee daily operations and ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production output. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys developing teams, and is committed to maintaining the highest standards of food safety, quality, and operational excellence.
The Production Supervisor will coordinate workflow, support continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborate closely with Quality, Maintenance, and Operations teams to meet production goals. This position is available at two locations: Mobile, AL (2nd Shift) and Madisonville, LA (Day Shift).
Responsibilities
  • Supervise daily production operations to meet schedule, quality, and output targets.
  • Monitor production lines to ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, and all food safety standards.
  • Train, coach, and evaluate production employees to support performance and development.
  • Maintain accurate production documentation, including yields, downtime, and labor reporting.
  • Partner with Quality Assurance and Maintenance to ensure consistent product quality and equipment reliability.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Promote and enforce all safety policies; drive a culture of safety awareness and accountability.
  • Lead shift meetings and ensure effective communication between shifts.
  • Assist with workforce planning, scheduling, and staffing adjustments based on production needs.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and operational best practices.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Required:
  • High school diploma or GED required; PTEC certification or Associate/Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of supervisory or lead experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage diverse teams.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations, GMP, HACCP, and manufacturing best practices.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Solid math and reading comprehension skills.

Preferred:
  • Experience in food production or food processing operations.
  • Working knowledge of ERP or production management systems.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
