Job Description (General Summary)
Intralox has a position available for a Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer. This position will be critical to the efficient translation of products from engineering development to manufacturing. Intralox Mechanical Manufacturing Engineers employ many designs for manufacturing (DFM) techniques such as part design optimization and product structuring for ease of assembly to prepare designs for production. Mechanical Manufacturing Engineers also work hand in hand with design engineers and manufacturing operations to develop lean processes for materials management, assembly, and shipping of products.
This team utilizes a variety of skill sets, development methodologies, and functional knowledge to accelerate the efficiency and scale of equipment production. This position is in the Sparrows Point, MD office.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements
Responsibilities:
• Champions standard work and production efficiency by training production employees on assembly processes and maintaining process documentation.
• Works hand in hand with design engineers and manufacturing operations to develop lean processes for materials management, assembly, and shipping of products.
• Works with the manufacturing engineering team to identify opportunities to develop new tools, jigs and fixtures to improve assembly efficiency and quality.
• Identifies areas for improvement in product design by using a variety of Design for Manufacturing techniques.
• Resolve design and BOM issues by entering change requests to have the definition updated.
• Identifies cost savings opportunities through production process improvements.
• Acts as designated manufacturing engineer on product launch teams.
• Help develop & maintain production process documentation.
• Champion of lean practices and the Intralox Production Way.
• Collaborate and coordinate with various team members including but not limited to Controls Engineers, Programmers, Project Managers, Assembly technicians, IT, and Warehouse personnel.
Requirements:
• B.S in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 3-5 years' experience in a related engineering field.
• Strong mechanical and analytical abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• A self-managed individual who is a team player.
• Located in Maryland and work primarily at production facility.
• 100% In office (Sparrows Point) with reasonable flexibility
• Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling and 2D drawing.
• An understanding of manufacturing and fabrication processes.
• Computer proficiency in MS office.
• Travel required (5%) for equipment installation, start-up or troubleshooting, and various training opportunities.
• Willing and able to work with tools in an industrial environment.
Desired Qualifications:
• Experience in Configuration Management, sheet metal design and electro-mechanical design.
• Experience with design for manufacturing, inventory management, lean practices, and manufacturing methodologies.
• Experience with Oracle ERP software, Windchill PLM, Autodesk Inventor, and AutoCAD.
• Experience with 3D printing and 3D printing technology

The position is eligible for one of the following: commissions, discretionary incentives, or production incentives according to the terms of those plans
Salary Range $74,300 to $174,300.
