Job description

Production Manager


We are seeking a Production Manager with 3-6 years of experience in planning and manufacturing processes from raw material to final products.  General responsibilities and qualifications are as follows:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 


Under general guidelines of management,

·  Production Planning: Develop and execute production schedules to ensure timely delivery of products.

· Resources Management: Estimate labor, material, and equipment requirements while managing the operational budget.

·  Quality Assurance: Determine and enforce quality control standards to ensure all output meets company and customer requirements.

· Team Leadership: Recruit, train, develop, and supervise production staff, including conducting performance reviews and assigning daily tasks and projects.

·   Quality, Health and Safety Compliance: Ensures Quality, Occupational Safety systems and environmental regulations are adhered to and are maintained and improved across the production floor.

·  Process Improvement: Utilize continuous improvement methodologies (like ISO 9001, Lean or 6S) to reduce waste, eliminate bottlenecks, and improve efficiency. 

·   Communicates and interface effectively with Leads/Supervisors and all levels of organization.

·   Actively supports company goals and objectives as defined by management.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with reasonable accommodation in the areas outlined below.

EDUCATION and Experience

A bachelor’s degree in business management, supply chain, engineering or a related technical field; equivalent work experience may be substituted for education.  A minimum of 3-6 years in a manufacturing, supply chain, or related operational role.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

Proficiency in production planning systems (such as SAP) and data analysis tools. Strong technical understanding of manufacturing process.

SOFT SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Strong problem-solving abilities, interpersonal, supervisory, project management, and cross-departmental communication (written, verbal, and presentation) skills. Must possess leadership ability; be organized and detail oriented. Proficient in Microsoft Office.
