JOB DESCRIPTION:

PURPOSE:

KML Windows Inc., a division of Andersen Corporation, is seeking Production Associates responsible for fabrication, supermarket, and assembly operations. The incumbents of this position will manage the flow of material throughout the plant by performing daily duties.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work in a safe manner and follow safe work practices and policies.
  • Help ensure co-workers are working safely and following safety requirements.
  • Follow all applicable procedures, Standardized Work, Control Plans, and Product Specifications.
  • Interpret customer requirements based on production paperwork and CAD drawings.
  • Assemble wooden products.
  • Assist in identifying training needs and propose ideas to improve quality metrics.
  • Learn, understand and implement Andersen Management Systems (AMS) and continuous improvement concepts.
  • Participate in defining and improving standard work.
  • Support and participate in Employee Engagement activities.
  • Work to an established rate as defined by customer demand and Standardized Work.
  • Follow defined clean-up times.
  • Engage in cross-training to maintain flexibility and adaptability to support resource planning.
  • Operate manufacturing equipment and use hand tools as required.
  • Identify problems; communicate issues to Work Center Leads and Supervisors.
  • Assist with training co-workers.
  • Support a respectful workplace.
  • Perform other duties across the plant as needed as directed by supervision or management.

QUALIFICATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Possess organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrate a sense of urgency to complete work on schedule.
  • Proven ability to understand and adhere to all process controls as documented (SWDs, JBAs, CPs).
  • Ability to read and understand reports and a willingness to cross train on several operations.
  • Possess communication, teamwork, problem solving, and leadership skills.
  • Dependability/punctuality.
  • Ability to interpret drawings and dimensions.
  • Demonstrates a positive attitude with the ability to interact effectively with other departments.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds, perform tasks requiring repetitive motion and stand for long periods.
  • Ability to read a tape measure.

Shift:

  • Days (Monday - Friday, 8-hour shifts - 7:00am - 3:30pm)
  • Afternoons (Monday - Thursday, 10-hour shifts - 4:00pm - 2:30am)

Salary: Manufacturing Associate I ($24.10 - $26.00 per hour) + 6% Afternoon shift premium when applicable.

PROFIT SHARING: In 2026 Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $3,600 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit Sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
