Schedule: Full-Time | Monday-Friday

Compensation: $60,000-$75,000 (Based on Experience)

This is much more than a traditional administrative position.

You'll become a key member of the operations team, supporting customers, purchasing, production, engineering, and leadership while helping ensure projects move efficiently from start to finish.

What You'll Do

No two days will look exactly the same. Responsibilities include:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for customers, vendors, and visitors
  • Build strong customer relationships through professional communication
  • Answer questions regarding orders, schedules, deliveries, and service requests
  • Process purchase orders and assist with order tracking
  • Coordinate with vendors regarding materials, pricing, and delivery schedules
  • Assist the Purchasing department with sourcing and supplier communication
  • Support production scheduling and project coordination
  • Work closely with Engineering, Service, Sales, and Manufacturing teams
  • Prepare quotes, documentation, reports, and customer correspondence
  • Maintain customer records and internal databases
  • Coordinate meetings, travel arrangements, and office logistics
  • Assist with shipping, receiving, and inventory documentation when needed
  • Help prioritize multiple projects while maintaining exceptional customer service
  • Jump in wherever needed to help keep operations moving efficiently

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is comfortable in a manufacturing environment and isn't afraid to "talk shop."

The ideal candidate enjoys learning technical products and communicating confidently with customers, engineers, purchasing professionals, and production personnel.

You should have:

  • 3+ years of administrative experience in manufacturing, industrial, or engineering environments
  • Outstanding customer service and communication skills
  • Experience processing purchase orders
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Comfortable speaking with customers, suppliers, and internal teams
  • Experience supporting purchasing, operations, or production departments
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Professional attitude with a positive, team-first mindset

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with any of the following is highly desirable:

  • ERP systems (SAP, Epicor, Plex, Oracle, or similar)
  • Manufacturing operations
  • Purchasing or procurement

  • Industrial equipment or machine tool manufacturing
