We are hiring a Lead Line Operator (Lead Extrusion Technician) in our Salt Lake City, Utah Facility
STARTING PAY: $24.25/HR, Depending on Experience
SCHEDULE: 6:45am-7pm, 2-2-3 Schedule

The Lead Line Operator is responsible for assisting the Production Supervisor in monitoring the production processes, equipment, and personnel to ensure maximum safety, efficiency, and quality.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist in communicating standards for process time, settings, and other specifications for optimum output and quality conditions
  • Provide tracking and feedback on results to staff and Extrusion Supervisor
  • Assist in performing ongoing checks of equipment, materials, and product. Recommends or takes action as required.
  • Monitor operating parameters of the extruders (OEE%).
  • Maintain a working environment free of unnecessary equipment and materials via 5S + audits and comply with, support, and promote all Dura-Line safety policies.
  • Assist production with troubleshooting and resolving processing problems
  • Complete production work as needed, including running a production line
  • Train operators on equipment usage, procedures, and adjustments
  • Assist with selection of auxiliary equipment used in production
  • Actively participate in all plant activities including training, safety, continuous improvement, etc.

EXPERIENCE & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to speak, read and write English fluently, Bilingual is a Plus!
  • At least 1 year of equipment/machine operating experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Physical requirements:
  • Stand and walk long distances on the plant floor for 8 to 12 hours on a shift.
  • Occasional climbing, reaching, squatting and bending to operate and fix equipment
  • Work in an environment that may be exposed to external elements (hot and cold temperatures) and occasional loud noises.
  • Capable of wearing required PPE (eyes, ears, feet, etc) for entire shift.
  • Able to lift and carry, push/pull up to 50lbs multiple times per shift

"The compensation for this position is typically $24.25/Hour. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to jobrelated knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. The compensation package may also include short and long-term incentive compensation.
