Position Overview:
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will support design, fabrication, process development, and production readiness activities. This role involves CAD modeling, generating manufacturing documentation, developing tooling, supporting procurement, and contributing to advanced manufacturing technology initiatives. 

Location:
On-site in Oak Ridge, Tennessee 

Your Day-to-Day as a Manufacturing Engineer:
Create 3D design models and detailed engineering drawings using SolidWorks or AutoCAD. 
Provide engineering support for assembly, testing, and inspection activities. 
Assist with development and qualification of advanced manufacturing technologies and new processes. 
Support prototype and production equipment assembly. 
Generate manufacturing routings, work instructions, and shop floor documentation. 
Write test reports and support qualification documentation. 
Support procurement of mechanical components and control of tooling. 
Provide hands-on support using shop equipment and tools. 
Inspect and characterize components for process monitoring and improvements. 
Design and develop tooling, fixtures, and test apparatus. 
Support equipment selection, installation, and facility engineering activities. 

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology (ABET accredited). 
Minimum of 7 years of related engineering experience. 
Knowledge of wiring, mechanical systems, and CAD. 
Experience designing complex electro/mechanical tools or systems. 
Experience with robotics or automation preferred. 
Strong communication and documentation skills. 
Ability to work independently and in a team environment. 
Must be a U.S. citizen. 
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE or DOD clearance; active clearance preferred. 

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with advanced manufacturing or automation technologies. 
Experience developing custom tooling.

Pay: $99,000 - $157,000

The base salary range for this position in Tennessee (US-TN) at the start of employment is expected to be between $99,000 and $157,000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, the selected job candidate will be employed 'at-will,' unless employed at a location and in a position subject to a collective bargaining agreement.  The company further reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment, compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and other market factors.
