Description

Titus, a business segment of Air Distribution Technologies, Inc., is seeking an Applications Engineering Manager to lead and develop our applications engineering function in Plano, TX. This role is responsible for managing technical application support, driving product application excellence, and serving as the technical liaison between Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, and our customers. The Application Engineering Manager ensures Titus products are applied correctly, competitively, and in alignment with customer and market needs.

What You’ll Do:
  • Lead, coach, and develop the Application Engineering team to provide best-in-class technical and application support.
  • Serve as the primary technical escalation point for complex customer and field application challenges.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Product Management, and Engineering to support product selection, system design, and custom applications.
  • Review project specifications, drawings, and submittals to ensure proper product application and compliance with codes and standards.
  • Provide technical training to internal teams, representatives, and customers on product applications and capabilities.
  • Support new product development by providing voice-of-customer input, competitive insights, and application requirements.
  • Develop and maintain application guidelines, technical documentation, and selection tools.
  • Assist with resolving field issues, warranty claims, and application-related concerns in partnership with Quality and Manufacturing.
  • Monitor industry trends, codes, and standards impacting product applications and communicate impacts to stakeholders.
  • Support key customer meetings, jobsite visits, and sales efforts as needed.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • 6+ years of experience in application engineering, product engineering, or technical support, preferably within HVAC or GRD industries.
  • Prior leadership or people-management experience.
  • Strong understanding of GRD products, system design, and HVAC applications.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and industry codes.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and engineering or selection software tools.
  • Ability to Travel up to 25%
Preferred:
  • Experience with Titus or similar fan and GRD products.
  • Familiarity with AMCA, ASHRAE, and related industry standards.
  • Experience supporting OEM, representative, or distributor sales channels.
  • Master’s degree in Engineering or Business Administration.

The work environment is primarily in a professional office and engineering setting with standard office equipment and a climate-controlled atmosphere designed for productivity.
