Job Description:
Madison College is seeking a Testing Coordinator to join the team at our Truax and Goodman South Branch Campuses. This position supports test administration by proctoring exams, assisting with scheduling, and ensuring secure, compliant, and accessible testing environments for all students.
The Testing Coordinator is responsible for conducting administrative work associated with standardized assessments, preparing and maintaining testing spaces, and ensuring adherence to established procedures that uphold testing integrity and regulatory compliance.
This position also provides technical support for computer-based testing platforms, including hardware and software setup, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring accessibility. Maintaining test security and confidentiality is essential, along with accurate documentation of test administrations, scores, and accommodations in accordance with institutional and external requirements.
Position Details:
Schedule: This is a full-time position, scheduled for 40 hours per week, year-round (52 weeks). Standard office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm. Please note that this position requires one evening shift weekly (approximately 4-8pm). Within this timeframe, there is flexibility to establish a schedule that best fits your availability.

  • Provides technical support for testing platforms by setting up hardware and software, troubleshooting issues and ensuring accessibility for all test-takers.
  • Safeguards test security and student records by enforcing testing standards, maintaining confidentiality and ensuring compliance with institutional and external regulations.
  • Manage testing records and reporting by maintaining accurate documentation of test administrations, scores and accommodations to support institutional and regulatory requirements.
  • Facilitates accommodation for students with disabilities by ensuring equitable access to testing environments and compliance with accommodation guidelines.
  • Supports student success by informing new and continuing students and staff about educational programs, services and available resources.
  • Contributes to an inclusive, equitable and supportive environment where everyone at the institution feels valued, respected and empowered to reach their full potential.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Knowledge of standardized testing procedures and security protocols.
  • Skill in troubleshooting and providing technical support for computer-based testing platforms.
  • Skill in managing and maintaining secure records of test administration, scores and accommodations.
  • Ability to assess and respond to student needs by providing clear information about testing, accommodation and institutional resources.
  • Skill in engaging positively with all populations and communities, contributing to a safe and inclusive learning and work environment.
  • Skill in effectively and respectfully communicating with others.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Associate degree or equivalent work experience
  • 0-2 years of relevant work experience
    • Preferred candidates will have at least one (1) year of experience in test administration.
