Job description

Our client in Irwin is seeking an experienced machine operator/technician to learn programming.
Duties:
- Set up, operate, and program CNC machines, with a strong focus on HAAS Lathes and Mills
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD/CAM files to meet job specifications
- Write and adjust CNC programs to optimize part quality and machining efficiency
- Inspect and measure finished products to ensure they meet quality standards
- Maintain equipment and perform regular machine maintenance
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with machining or programming
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience operating and programming CNC machinery
- Manual Machining experience can be trained to do everything else
- Proficient with HAAS control systems, including ST-10 or ST-20 models
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Strong understanding of CNC G-code and M-code programming
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with basic inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High school diploma or GED required; technical training or certification is a plus
