Job description

Summary:
A company that specializes in aerospace parts and equipment manufacturing is looking to hire a Manual Machinist to join their team in Delray Beach. The Manual Machinist will set up and operate manual lathes, mills, and grinders to produce precision components. This role requires strong blueprint-reading skills, close attention to detail, and the ability to maintain high standards of quality and accuracy.
Responsibilities:
* Set up and operate manual lathes, milling machines, and grinders (lathe- or mill-only backgrounds will be considered).
* Machine aerospace ground support components to tolerances ranging from ±0.005" to ±0.0002".
* Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.
* Use precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges) to verify part accuracy.
* Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting on manual machining equipment.
* Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
* Collaborate with the team to meet production schedules and quality standards.
Qualifications:
* 2+ years of experience operating manual machines.
* Proficiency with both lathe and milling machines preferred (experience with one discipline acceptable).
* Strong blueprint-reading and measurement skills.
* Manufacturing background required; aerospace industry experience preferred.
* Mechanical aptitude with problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
