4-day work weeks (Monday-Thursday, 10-hour days)

What We're Looking For
Qualified candidates should have
2+ years of experience operating one or more of the following:
- Track or rubber tire backhoe (digging at grade)
- Road grader
- Dozer
- Track or wheel skid loader
What You'll Do
As an Equipment Operator with the Manitowoc County Highway Department, you will:
- Perform road maintenance and snow removal operations
- Maintain highway right-of-ways
- Operate heavy equipment in all seasons
- Mow grass, trim trees and brush, repair washouts, spray weeds, and remove debris
- Repair potholes and cracks in road surfaces
- Install and repair guardrails, posts, bridges, markers, and snow fences
- Assist with bridge maintenance and other roadway improvements

Requirements
A high school diploma or any combination of education and work experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of this position. Class A CDL is required.
